Memory, Identity, Forgiveness: New Perspectives on the Iraqi Invasion of Kuwait

Speakers
Dr. Christopher Ohan is Associate Professor of History and Chair of the Department of International Relations at AUK. Dr. Ohan will address the relationship between specific memories of the invasion and identity.

Dr. Nicholas Scull is Assistant Professor of Psychology at AUK, and will discuss the benefits of forgiveness among Kuwaiti survivors of the invasion and the role of Islam in mediating the forgiveness process.

Dr. Ildiko Kaposi is Assistant Professor of Communication and Media at AUK and will explore the connections between media and memory in the context of the invasion.
